KHULNA: Sumaiya Ahmed is set to be the first Bangladeshi girl to play heroine role in a Hollywood movie.
The shooting of movie titled as ‘Humble River,’ directed by renowned US director Tomas Goodwin and produced by David Blithen and Eric Peterson, is going on, and it is scheduled to be released on March, 2013.
Mr Antonio Grims is the actor against Sumaiya.
Sumaiya Ahmed, hailed from Khulna, completed MBA from Boston University, and got higher degrees on ‘Acting’ from Pune University of India.
She is daughter of Sheikh Jamal Uddin, editor and publisher of ‘The Daily Banglar Khobor’ published from Khulna and Tahmina Ahmed, chairperson of boards of editors of the daily.
They are all now citizen of United States, though they visit Bangladesh very often.
Sumaiya’s father told banglanews that Sumaiya wants to spread Bangladeshi culture throughout the world by acting in Hollywood and Bollywood movies.
He urged all the countrymen to pray for her.
