She is now busy for recording more playbacks for the upcoming films like Run Out, Game and Padmo Patar Jol.
More interestingly, she has proved her skill in ‘item songs’. Her item song De bhijiye dey in Redoan Rony’s film Chorabali got huge plaudit. Eshona eshona of The Speed and Nibhe jak sab alo of Dehorokkhi are also hit item songs produced recently.
‘People who used to dance with Indian item songs or English songs in parties are now using item songs rendered by me,’ claiming the success of her songs Kona told New Age.
‘Even a quality item song can earn more money than a film does,’ she said.
Kona considers Runa Lila as her idol also likes Asha Boshle and Sunidhi Chuhan’s songs. ‘I take the challenge of rendering “item songs” like the top singers of the subcontinent took,’ Kona said.
Kona further informs that the current music trend of the Dhallywood film is also changing. ‘For instance Bhuler Ahobane in Tanmoy Tansen’s upcoming film Run Out will be completely different from the typical melodious playbacks,’ Kona said.

She also observes that singers in the country are deprived of getting due royalty, which is also harmful for developing career. ‘Radio and TV channels are using songs without giving due royalty and credit to the artiste,’ she said.

Kona also works on many voiceovers and jingles for commercials. Her new jingle for Banglalink desh will appear on television soon, she said.
